Dignified lives for street dogs, one at a time
We are a non-profit created in 2017, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs living on the street. Your donation helps us sustain the shelter and cover food, veterinary care, medication, cleaning supplies, and everything else this work requires.

Your contribution turns into three concrete things
Every dollar donated goes straight to the Team Perruno fund, and every expense is reported with full transparency.
Feeding the Pack
Keeping the shelter’s 40+ dogs fed takes 5 kilos of rice, 2 kilos of protein, and 1 kilo of dog food every single day. Your donation covers these supplies day to day.
Spay and Neuter Campaigns
Every year, we organize mass spay and neuter campaigns for street and community dogs, covering the venue, transportation, and lodging for the veterinarians.
Adoptions
We run campaigns that promote adoption in Altagracia de Orituco and encourage people from other cities to adopt a llanero dog.
Choose the amount that fits you best
All donations are monthly and recurring, unless you choose the open-amount option. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
From cooking in a home kitchen to running our own shelter
The First Steps
We started by cooking food for the dogs of the El Chala neighborhood and taking photos of them to encourage their adoption, along with a radio spot that taught people why adopting a street dog matters.
Our Independent Shelter
As more committed people joined the team, we managed to get a shelter of our own. That grew our responsibilities, but it also let us work with clear goals: rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome.
Our First Mass Spay and Neuter Campaign
We held the first mass sterilization campaign in Altagracia de Orituco’s history. That year we ran three campaigns in total, sterilizing 256 animals, none of them for profit for the foundation.
Our Eighth Campaign Is Coming
We’ve spayed/neutered more than 918 animals, strengthening an ethical culture in town and teaching that it’s the most humane way to reduce the number of stray dogs.
Our Yearly Goal
Our goal is to run spay/neuter campaigns every year, consistently, to prevent overpopulation and suffering among street dogs, and to carry this culture of volunteering beyond our town.
Team Perruno is a nonprofit led by women, girls between 20 and 30 years old
We act for street dogs without expecting anything in return. We didn’t want to stay indifferent to their suffering any longer, and that decision became a foundation.
In Altagracia de Orituco we’re building a culture of volunteering that didn’t exist before, and we want this work to grow beyond our town. Every donation brings us closer to that goal.
Trust built campaign after campaign
“They work with small resources that become significant, thanks to their dedicated care for the animals.”
“They always share the shelter’s expense reports, with photos of everything purchased. That’s why we donate with confidence.”
“I appreciate how ethically they manage donation money. They’re an example for other foundations in the country.”
